Job Description |
|
|
|
|
 Consultant and manager needed to assist in the pricing strategies practice. Main responsibilities include:
- Serve as a team member for pricing strategy, price management, and price enterprise system implementation projects
- Provide thought leadership and analytical support
- Work with teams to define and conduct required analytics and changes to price management processes
- Identify, quantify, and help customers achieve tangible, measurable value from price improvement projects
- Support new business development
- Add to Kalypso’s intellectual capital in the area of pricing strategy and management
- Must be willing to travel 3 to 4 days per week, 30 to 45 weeks per year

Requirements & Skills |
|
|
|
|
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Sciences or similar, plus an MBA or MS in Operations Science
- Strong hands-on data analytical and data validation skills
- Strong working knowledge and use of spreadsheets
- Exposure to Order Management as a business process
- Experience in the end-use or deployment of enterprise level application
- Familiarity with OLAP, Data Mart/Data Warehouse products and tools is preferred but experience in the use and deployment of enterprise packages such as SAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft and Oracle is acceptable
- Background/exposure to statistics packages, modeling and optimization techniques, operations research and general financial analysis
- Superior client facilitation, presentation, and excellent communication skills are all necessary for success

Experience |
|
|
|
|
- 2-7 years experience as a pricing manager or professional pricer in an operating firm (preferably in CPG or similar industry with advanced pricing practices) or:
- 2-7 years consulting experience in pricing strategy, pricing process management, and/or price optimization
- Enterprise software implementation experience (as a consultant or client project manager) desirable but not required
- Demonstrated track record of consultative problem solving
- Experience with one of the following firms will be given extra consideration: Metreo, Vendavo, Zilliant, Rapt, PROs, Revenue Technologies, Manugistics, Model N, Simon-Kucher and Partners, Strategic Pricing Group, or McKinsey
